MANDEM is a symbiotic pair of artists originally from Cleveland, OH. Maize and Moco Steinman Arendsee work together in what might be awkwardly described as a Vulcan Mind Meld. Their art generally deals with transmutation and evolution—capturing the metamorphic moments of life where everything changes. Recent projects have included solo and group gallery exhibits, CD and book covers, and the gestation and nurturing of their now 14-month-old child, Kitsuko.
